Yesterday was my birthday
and I celebrated it with some friends at a Japanese
restaurant in Bahrain called “Bushido”. The food and
hot sake
were delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for the
occasion. If you look closely at the accompanying
photo, you can’t help but notice the ecstatic face of a
man who has just had “Happy Birthday” sung to him by a
bevy of Bushido beauties. Afterwards we went to “Trader
Vic’s” and heard a killer bee Cuban band.
I’m counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds
until I can catch the first leg of my trip home on the
evening of June the 29th.

Hello world! Welcome to my very first blog.
First and foremost, I’d like to say Happy Father’s
Day to all of the deserving Dad’s out there. My own
father, William Weldon “Bugs” Huggins passed away on
June the 18th, 1994. He was a unique and special
character and I think about him and miss him each and
every day.
I’m currently in the Middle East (and I’m not talking
about Ohio either), but will be heading backing to
Sweet Home, Alabama in about a week and a
half. Dorothy from ”The Wizard of Oz” said it best:
“There’s no place like home”. My number one priority
of course is getting there. After that, I’m just
gonna enjoy each and every moment, day by day. Of
course I have a lot of recording scheduled while I’m
home, but we always have so much fun that it never
seems like work. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
Over and out.
