welcomes you to "A Damn Good Studio", (located in Sweet Home, Alabama). He's cookin' up blues and country, a little bit of soul, southern gospel and rock and roll. Drop by anytime, open 24/7.

And that pot of music has been simmering for a long time now, tastefully tendered by Pat the Chef. Pat lives close to another cooking scene: the city of Muscle Shoals in Northwest Alabama, nestled alongside the Tennessee River. That’s right: the birthplace of the legendary “Muscle Shoals Sound”, created by FAME Recording Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios.

Not so surprising then that you can find legendary studio cats like bass player David Hood, drummer Roger Hawkins, keyboardist Spooner Oldham, guitarist Larry Byrom,  percussionist Mickey Buckins, and harmonica whiz Jerry "Boogie" McCain among Pat’s musical accomplices. And not so surprising, living in this hotbed of music, that Pat through the years has opened concerts for artists the caliber of blues superstars Little Milton and Bobby Rush and country cult hero David Allan Coe. Kinda comes with the neighborhood.
